Hey guys, just wondering if anyone had the suspension hardpoints for any of the S13 or S14's. Me and some guys from Import Intelligence are thinking of doing some crazy suspension stuff (cant say!). But if anyone has any coordinates for the control arm pick-ups or the upright pickups, steering arms, etc etc etc. We will probably end up having to measure them ourselves, but if anyone has anything, that would save us loads of time. Thanks guys! _________________ UH Racing |

Uh oh could this be a race to develop the similar products? I wonder.... _________________ -Ryan

hahaha this actually has nothing to do with dampers or spring rates. its just to see if we can improve the kinematics of the car, since they are usually pretty messed up from slamming a car down to the ground. no competition here _________________ UH Racing |

I don't remember the name of it. Its a new one I'm going to have to learn. _________________ -Ryan

You're best bet is to measure them yourself. If anyone had went through all the trouble do accurately measure everything, I doubt they would give them away, especially if someone is planning on trying to profit from what the data would give them.
I've been meaning to get around to this for about 2 years now. I can just never find the time or the space to measure all the points in 3d space. I've gone through and measured a lot of other kinematic characteristics which were enough to get me a basic model, but not enough to have the model I really want.
What are you guys thinking of changing for the kinematics? Just the normal roll center positions, camber curves, etc? Or are you thinking of taking it further? And what software are you using? Just a more basic kinematic program or something along the lines of ADAMS? _________________ TIP Engineering

I've said enough... I don't even know if what I want to do is possible but I'm going to try. _________________ -Ryan

i am mostly just looking into roll centers and camber curves for now, but i mean, with a full 3d model and the ability to change the hardpoints, you could pretty much do anything. i suppose ill just take it on myself then to measure them up. i have something along the lines of ADAMS, but one of the kids here at school has been making a 3d kinematics spreadsheet in excel. i also cant say what progra im using, cause i technically shouldnt be using it for this... hehehehe _________________ UH Racing |
